Home > Sow Bugs

Although they are called sow bugs and sometimes woodlouse, like the pill bug, they are also part of the crustacean family. These 1 cm long creatures are unable to bite or sting humans.

  • When inside a home, it typically indicates that there is a large population of sow bugs outside.

  • Like the pill bug, these creatures also feed on dead and alive plant life.

  • They are flatter than the common pill bug and cannot fully roll into a ball like the pill bug.

Cold and damp places attract the sow bug and removing the circumstances for them to live is the best way for a homeowner to deal with sow bugs themselves.
